Born of a shared love of design, husband and wife team Eric Penderleith and Megan Ross combine their backgrounds of millwork and fashion to create POEM NY, a collection of one-of-a-kind hand carved wooden handbags.
Every step of production is meticulously completed by hand in the Hudson Valley. Eric carves each bag by hand, a local artisan hand beads each strap and Megan finishes each bag in her studio. Cords and tassels are sourced from a family-run company in New York City.
Megan and Eric’s goal is to work in collaboration with other local artisans and to celebrate a return to slow fashion. Each handbag is unique and made to order with sustainable wood in Hudson, New York. No animal products are used in the creation of the bags.
